No 2nd Term For Sosan?

While Governor Babatunde Fashola and his supporters were in joyous mood last week when he was endorsed as the governorship flagbearer of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Lagos, his deputy, Princess Sarah Sosan may realise her dream of serving with Fashola for a second term.
Though, she would have loved to continue to work with her boss, the powers that be at the ACN are said to be shopping for a deputy governorship candidate for Fashola. This is why Sosan may not be happy afterall despite the fact that she has been humble and submissive to her boss.
It was gathered that the party’s hierarchy may have opted for the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, WAPA, Mrs. Joke Orelope-Adefulire, who has been doing well in her ministry.
Alausa Rhythms gathered that Fashola would have loved Sosan to be with him for the second time but party elders disagreed and decided to allow her seek a place in the Senate rather than allow her to roam in the political wilderness.
Hon. Abike Dabiri was at one time touted to replace Sosan but a source knocked her off the race, saying that the ACN had decided to opt for Orelope-Adefulire. It is not clear why the powers that be in the party decided to go for the WAPA woman instead of Sosan.
“I can tell you authoritatively that Sosan is not going to be Fashola’s deputy come 2011 elections. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire is highly favoured to replace her,†a top government source stated.
