Braithwaite Wants Stanbic MD Jailed

A Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere, Lagos State, South West Nigeria, will this afternoon commence hearing on a N10 billion suit instituted by presidential candidate of Nigerian Advance Party, NAP, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite, against Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited for constituting a nuisance.

The elder statesman in his claim alleged that the bank is disturbing him at his residence at Plot 141 Elias Close, Victoria Island, which is a residential area.

He said for over 10 years the bank’s giant electric generating set has been causing noise pollution in the area to his discomfort.

Consequently, Dr. Braithwaite prayed the court to commit to prison the Managing Director of the bank, Christopher Knight, and prosecute the manager of the bank, Adebayo Fowora.
