Truck Crushes FRSC Staff

An official of Delta Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has been killed by a commuter bus driver with IK Dynamics Motors near the old toll gate in Asaba.

Mr. Luka Ikpi, the FRSC Sector Commander in Delta, told newsmen that the deceased, Mr. Marcus Ozomnuwe, was at his duty post during the “Operation Total war On Over loading” when he was crushed.

Mr. Ozomnuwe had detained the driver of the lorry for over loading and was about to  book him for the offence, when the driver was said to have used his truck to push him to the oncoming  path of the approaching vehicle and was crushed by the truck. The driver has since been arrested and handed over  to the police.
