ACN Chieftain Counsels Aspirants
Aspirants that lost out in the recently held Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), primary have been advised to stop pointing accusing fingers at the leadership of the party, especially, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Hon. Akin Ogunlade, a member of Action Congress of Nigeria gave this advice while commenting on the party’s primary.
Ogunlade, a political scientist, said instead of accusing the leadership of the party of wrong doing, such people should be encouraged and seen as men with vision and key to democratic change in the country.
The ACN chieftain also objected to the claims that some candidates were hand-picked or imposed against the wish of majority of the people.
“I do not believe that any candidate was hand-picked or imposed against the wish of the people. I was practically present at venue of the primary, where delegates elected their candidates without any intervention from the party leadership.
The ACN chieftain also thanked the former President Olusegun Obasanjo for discovering Nallam Nuhu Ribadu, the party’s presidential flag-bearer whom he said has been a blessing for ACN, while stressing that politicians should learn from other presidential aspirants, especially from the northern part of the country, who voluntarily withdrew for the former EFCC boss, without any rancour.
