Don’t Be Involved In Politics, CDHR Warns Members
Members of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Shomolu-Bariga, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, have been warned not to get involved in partisan politics.
Comrade Toheed Alate, the Publicity Secretary of the group made this known in a statement made available to P.M.NEWS.
Alate stated that the group made the call following the call for assistance by aggrieved members of political parties over imposition of candidates in the area.
The group said it is less concerned about whoever is chosen or elected by the party to represent them, adding that its only interest is in the genuine representation of the people.
The group also denied allegation of multiple registration by residents of the area, stressing that its members have been monitoring the exercise and that no such case has been recorded or reported.
It urged the INEC officials not to compromise the objectives of the registration exercise.
