Rising Star Football club of Eti Osa East were at their best last Saturday as they defeated  Nathaniel Boys 2-1 in the ongoing Lagos Junior League.

The encounter was played at the FIFA Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.  Before the encounter, the Nath Boys were favoured to win but the unwavering Eti-Osa got their  first goal in the 42th minute via Stanley Nbadi. The goal silenced the vociferous fans of the  Nath Boys.

The fierce battle continued unabated as both teams entertained the crowd with their football  skills. Several chances were created but none was converted by both teams as the first half  ended in favour of resilient Eti-Osa.

Nath Boys resumed the second half with high expectations, while Eti Osa also good them a tough  challenge. The second half was tougher for the Nath Boys as they continued to soak pressure  from their opponents from Eti Osa before Nbadi scored the second goal in the 74th minute to  confirm their supremacy.

Nbadi who earlier a missed penalty kick awarded to his team in the 66th minute, was the match  hero as his skills and creativity on the ball gave their opponents a sleepless night throughout  the encounter.

Jimoh Olayemi reduced the tally for the Nath Boys in the added time before the referee blew the  final whistle.With this defeat, Nathaniel Boys have qualified for the premier League come  August.
