72-Year Old Teacher Seeks Divorce

A retired teacher, Mr.Adebayo Adepitan, 72 who resides on Plot 538, Abesan Estate, Ipaja, has asked  the Alimosho Customary Court, Lagos to dissolve his marriage to his wife, Mrs. Bolanle Adepitan  Ibrahim, for constant fighting.

“She doesn’t listen to me and always disobey me. There was a time she even slapped me and I ended  up at the hospital.

“There is no more love between us. She is fetish. There was a time I caught her burying coconut in  the sitting room. She doesn’t care for me and doesn’t cook my food,” he stated.

He also accused her of denying him sex and appealed to the court to annul the marriage.

The respondent denied most of the accusations but agreed that she was always fighting him for not  providing money for feeding.

She appealed to the court not to annul the marriage because she still loves her husband.

The president of the court pleaded with the parties to go home and invite their families to mediate  in the dispute and bring the decision to the court on 9 February for judgment.
