Accreditation Budget: Lagos Assembly Grants LASU N3bn

The Lagos State House of Assembly has approved that N3.02bn should be added to the capital expenditure of the Lagos State University for the accreditation of some of its courses.
The approval followed the request made by Governor Babatunde Fashola on 17 January, that the House should approve the sum to improve the standard of the school after the National Universities Commission (NUC) withdrew accreditation for 10 of its courses last year.
Fashola said the money would be used to cater for the accreditation requirements of the university.
