UNIOSUN Admits 50 Pioneer Law Students
The Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has admitted 50 pioneer law students to kick-start its law programme and expand the university’s curricula.
The freshers are part of the 1,400 students who scaled the hurdle of admission and took the oath of matriculation for the school’s 2010/2011 academic session.
Professor Sola Akinrinade, Vice Chancellor of the institution, urged the matriculating students to explore available modern facilities in the school to enhance their learning and research.
He advised the students to adhere strictly to the matriculation oath, and warned that a violation of the rules might put an end to their studentship.
Prof Akinrinade specifically implored the students to distance themselves from evil groups including cult groups and other anti- social activities that could cause distraction and jeopardize their academic pursuit.
He added that they should be totally faithful to the matriculation oath. He also said that as leaders of tomorrow, they should say no to all forms of social vices.
The VC noted that the school authorities had initiated a Graduate Support Office to enhance students’ future development, progress and growth, adding that practical entrepreneurial training has been introduced to add value to knowledge acquired and prepare students for future challenges.
He thereby appealed to parents and guardians to partner the university by joining the Parents Forum and play active role in its activities.
