Nigerians Bid Pa Enahoro Farewell

Nigerians from all walks of life today gathered at Uromi in Edo State to pay their last respects to the Chief Anthony Eromosele Enahoro.
Vehicular traffic stretched four kilometres away from the ancient town of Uromi visitors stormed the town to attend the elder statesman’s burial.
School children from both primary and secondary lined up the road waving Nigerian flag to the visitors.
At the St. Anthony Cathedral Church, Uromi, the auditorium was filled to capacity with guests from all the states in Nigeria. There was beating of drums and sounding of trumpets.
The church service billed for noon had not commenced as at press time.
Prominent Nigerians at the burial ceremony include: Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Governor Rauf Aregbeshola of Osun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State, and their host, Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
Others are Dr. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Rear Admiral Mike Akigbe, the former Chief Staff to General Babangida; former Edo State Governor, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, members of the National Assembly, other political office holders, Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie, traditional rulers, students and members of MASSOB.
