YSFON Executives Meet In Owerri

All is now set for the National Executive Council [NEC], meeting of the Youth Sports Federation of  Nigeria [YSFON] will hold in Owerri, Imo State tomorrow.

The federation Secretary, Patrick Okpavuerhe, says today is the arrival date for the affiliated   states chairmen and secretaries. He revealed that the meeting will focus on the federation’s  activities for 2011

Meanwhile, hosts, Kastina’s U-17 boys football team have emerged champions of the 1st Governor Ibrahim  Shehu Shema National U-17 Boys Soccer Tournament after defeating their counterparts from Borno State,  Aloama Boys by 1-0 to lift the trophy donated by Governor Ibrahim Shema of Kastina.

Abia State also whitewashed their opponents from Ekiti State 3-0 to win the third place match. The  tournament was declared closed by the representative of Governor of Kastina, Commissioner for Social,  Rural Development, Youth and Sports, Alhaji Bashir Gambo Saulawa.

Other dignitaries at the closing ceremony were royal fathers, Director of Sports in the Ministry of  Sports, Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed Kofa Soro, representative of the Chief of Army Staff, Major General  Shoboki, G.O.C Division One Kaduna state, former Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Peter Rufai and Alhaji  Jamiu Tunde Ojulari, YSFON President were all present.
