A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Bolaji Yussuf Ayinla, representing Mushin Constituency 2, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, has dissociated politicians from the gang wars raging in Mushin.
Ayinla disclosed this during the launching of his campaign for the coming election.
He advised youths from the area to reject any offer from anyone who may want to use them for selfish reasons.
“The gang war going on in Mushin is not caused by any of the politicians in the area. We are brothers and sisters. I don’t see any reason for sponsoring any group to fight each other. Politicians should not be dragged into the matter.
“I also call on the youths in the area not to allow them to be used by any politician for any reason. They should turn down anyone that approaches them to be used as political thugs,†he stated.
On his agenda for the people of the community, Ayinla promised to represent them effectively. He assured them that their welfare was top on his priority list.
He also promised to curb youth restiveness in the area through empowerment programmes.
