A middle aged man, Ojo Temitope, has been arrested for killing Mr. Samson Ogbu, an okada rider along Ibeju-Lekki road in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.
The suspect was alleged to have driven his Toyota Corolla car marked CM 962 FST carelessly around Onosa Village, Ibeju-Lekki and ran over the motorcyclist who died on the spot.
The matter was reported at Elemoro Police Station where the divisional traffic officer led some traffic policemen to the scene.
The driver was arrested and taken to the station while the corpse was moved to a public mortuary for autopsy. The case is under investigation.
In a similar development, the police at Meiran Police Station have arrested one Olajide Tobi who drove a Toyota car marked EX 326 LSR carelessly and had a head on collision with a ford bus marked XS 937 KRD opposite Moses Orimolade Church along Abeokuta Expressway.
A yet to be identified passenger died on the spot while others sustained injuries and were taken to hospital where they are said to be responding to treatment.
