The National Movement for Progressive Party (NMPP) has endorsed the Jonathan-Sambo ticket.
A statement issued by the national secretary of the party, Segun Peters, on Sunday in Abuja said Jonathan-Sambo ticket had the best manifesto to transform Nigeria.
“The NMPP is of the view that Jonathan-Sambo ticket has the best manifesto to transform our great nation and usher in an era of prosperity and security.
“The nation needs tested and trusted leaders to breath fresh air to governance,†the party said.
It urged party members to campaign and vote for the candidates.
It condemned the spate of violence in the country, and urged security agencies to check the wanton destruction of lives and property in the country.
The party also appealed to politicians to engage in issue-based politics and eschew politics of bitterness, thuggery and rigging, capable of impeding democracy in the country.
