DPO Seeks Assistance On Crime Control
The Community Development Committee, CDC, of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area recently held their annual general meeting and award-giving ceremony at the council area office (LASTMA Compound) along Shagamu road, Ikorodu, Lagos State, South-West nigeia.
Notable among the recipients of the awards and letters of recognition and commendation was the Divisional Police Officer of Shagamu Road Police Division, Mr. Ukadike Anamazobi (SP), who received an award for excellent performance, dedication and commitment to crime fighting and making the communities safe for the inhabitant.
Addressing the gathering after receiving the award, the DPO expressed disappointment in the CDC in that they failed him when he bought their assistance towards the purchase of a patrol vehicle to boost crime fighting in the division.
He said that with about 90 CDAs under his jurisdiction, a contribution of N5,000 per CDA would be enough to buy two patrol vehicles to enhance his work in the area.
The DPO thanked the state governor, Babatunde Fashola for his assistance to police in the state.
Responding to the complaints of the DPO, the chairman of the CDC, Prince Z.A. Osinbajo, assured him that the committee would look into his request.
