The Katsina State Government has signed an agreement with the National Film Corporation to train youths on photography and film editing.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Bishir Gambo, disclosed this to a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Katsina on Tuesday.
Gambo said that purpose of the agreement was to empower the teeming population of unemployed youths.
“This is the second time the state government is signing the agreement.
“If you remember, last year, we signed a similar agreement and the beneficiaries have since graduated,†Gambo said.
He urged the youths to make the best use of the opportunity provided them by the government.
NAN recalls that more than 50 youths benefitted from the first phase of the training programme in 2010.
