Fashola’s Campaign Buses Flood Lagos

Scores of branded buses bearing the campaign messages and different portraits of Governor Babatunde Fashola are all over Lagos metropolis appealing to Lagosians to vote for him in the coming April governorship election.

Twenty-five of the buses were seen at Ikorodu area of Lagos State, South West Nigeria last week when the governor commissioned some projects in the area.

The vehicles have loud speakers mounted on them and campaign messages and jingles are relayed to the public through them.

The buses have also been sighted at Mushin and Agege areas of the state with the inscription: “re-elect Fashola as Governor of Lagos State.”

Apart from the campaign buses, posters of the governor are pasted at every nooks and crannies of the state as Fashola steps up his re-election bid.

The governor is using his tour of the state to commission projects as well as campaign for re-election in the April polls. The commissioning are usually turned into campaign rallies as thousands of Lagosians thronged the venues to catch a glimpse of the governor as well as listen to him.

At one of the commissioning, Fashola told his listeners to cast their votes for the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

According to him, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, cannot give them what they wanted because it lacks ideas to move the state forward.

He revealed that in the last 12 years, the PDP-led federal government had plunged the nation into chaos, adding that nothing was working in all sectors of the economy.
