Armed robbery suspects have attacked Mama Cass eatery at New Oko Oba and Conoil filling station, situated along Dayo Adeniji Street.
The suspects, numbering about seven, arrived the Oko-Oba eatery around 9.30 p.m. in an ash colour Nissan bus wearing mobile police uniform. They shot into the air several times before commencing operation.
P.M.NEWS gathered that it was difficult to differentiate the suspects from regular policemen because they also carried guns.
According to a witness: “We thought it is only the law enforcement agents that wear police uniform. Now, we know that some peope who are not policemen also have the uniform and they use it to steal.â€
When P.M.NEWS visited the eatery and the filling station, they were deserted.
No arrest has been made but a senior police officer at Oko Oba station confirmed the story, adding that investigation has begun.
