The Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government chapter has targeted at least 105, 000 votes for each candidates of the party in the seven wards in the area.
To achieve this, the party has begun grassroots mobilization by visiting several interest groups to intimate them of its plan and ensure that Governor Babatunde Fashola is returned for another term.
Leadership of the party in Oshodi-Isolo have visited barbers and hair dressers’ association and the Lagos State Tailors and Fashion Designers’ Association, Oshodi branch, to appeal to them to support the ACN by casting their votes for the party in the April polls.
Addressing tailors and hair dressers in the area, Chairman, ACN, Oshodi-Isolo Chapter, Alhaji Kasali Olamide, said the party is targeting 15, 000 votes in each of the seven wards in Oshodi for each of its candidate for the presidency, governorship, House of Assembly and National Assembly elections.
He warned them not to vote for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, because the party has failed the nation. “We are happy that you have registered. We are seeking your support in the coming elections. When you help us, we will also help you. The PDP has failed us in the past 12 years it has been ruling the nation. Come out and vote for the ACN,†he stated.
He also appealed to them to ensure that they stayed behind to monitor their votes to prevent rigging.
The barbers and hair dressers promised to mobilise their members to vote massively for the ACN in the elections.
