The founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, has empowered the Nigerian Police Force, Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, and Vehicle Inspection Officers, VIO, by donating gift items to them.

Primate Ayodele who made the donation during his birthday celebration tagged, My Constant Appreciation to God, said  the items, including  cash  and motorcycles, were to help the police and other security agencies to combat crime in the metropolis.

According to Primate Ayodele, “I am doing this to show appreciation to God for all he has done in my life. I was not born with a silver spoon in my  mouth  but with prayers and dint of hard work, God Almighty made me what I am today.

“How do I show appreciation? Yes, it is by giving to those that are in need, you don’t wait for people to ask you for money. You need not have millions of naira before you give to the needy. Most of the people we have in this nation are self-centred.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Samuel Jinadu, while receiving the gifts  commended Primate Ayodele for his gesture.

He said: “On behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Hafiz Ringim and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Alikali, we thank you for donating this refrigerator for my office use and also for donating motorcycles to Ikotun, Idimu, Ejigbo, Itire divisions and Area ‘D’ Command, Mushin. I wish all other men of God would emulate your gesture.”

The FRSC unit commander, Isolo, Lagos, Mr. I.A Sule  appreciating the gesture said: “I am privileged to meet this humble man of God. I have heard from people and read in the dailies of his kindness.”
