To show their support to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola for what he has been doing to develop sports in  Lagos State, Nigeria, a group of sportsmen have come together to rally round him for his second term in office in the April’s general elections in the country.

In a press release made available by the coordinator of  Fashola Sports Support Group, Segun Adenuga, the sportsmen and women will canvass for votes for Governor Fashola in all Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas, LCDA, using sports as a veritable vehicle for mass mobilisation.

The group, which comprises the cream of Nigeria’s best sportsmen and sportswomen, is being led by Cricket guru, Ewa Henshaw, whose father, Etim Richard Henshaw, led the first Nigerian team to play in United Kingdom in 1949.

Adenuga disclosed that the group would work in tandem and also hob-nob with other BRF Campaign Groups in propagating the governor’s sports philosophies and ethos.
