NAVC Vows To Curtail Election Malpractice

An anti-corruption group, National Anti-Corruption Volunteer Corps (NAVC) has vowed to curtail any form of election malpractice in this year’s general election.

Ambassador Akin Badejogbin, Lagos State Co-coordinator of the group, stated this during a press briefing in Lagos, South-West Nigeria, to flag-off of the one million-man march of Volunteer Army Against Electoral Rigging and Multiple Voting (VARM) to enhance free and fair election.

Badejogbin noted that the purpose of VARM is to ensure credible election by eliminating rigging during and after election.

He urged Nigerians to report, resist and reject corruption and enrol volunteers to participate in rebuilding the nation.

Also present at the briefing was Reverend Austin Nnorom, Chairman,  Conference of  Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), who described VARM as a child of necessity to solve electoral malpractice in the country.
