The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ogun State chapter, has finally suspended its six month old strike. The strike was suspended last week Friday.
The state government had agreed to the demands of the association at a round-table meeting on Friday.
Dr. Adeshola Nasir, the Chairman of ASUU OOU chapter announced at the school’s mini campus that the government has met with their demands. He added that lectures will start today, 23 February.
He further pledged that the lecturers will work indefatigably towards the success of the institution. Students of the institution heaved a sigh of relief following the announcement.
