Mushin Sports Concept was founded  two years ago. The  chairman of the body, Rasheed Abiola Ajose, spoke about the ongoing Banire Cup organised by the association and other  issues with SUNDAY AKINTOYE.

Sir, how would you rate the ongoing Banire Cup?
I am highly impressed with the organisation, officiating and the performance of the participating teams. Eight teams are taking part in the championship and all of them are performing to expectations.

But people said that there was violence when  some matches were played, is it true?
We have not recorded violence in any of the matches. The competition is well organised and everybody is happy about it.

You are yet to fix the  date for the final, even though  the finalists, Robo FC and West Marshal FC,  have emerged, what is happening?
We want to use this medium to appeal to our fans for the delay. We are still waiting for the sponsor, Dr. Muiz Banire, who is the Lagos State Commissioner For Environment. As soon as he gives us a date, we will commence preparation for the final.

What should we expect at the final
We believe the final will be interesting and explosive because the two teams are  rivals as far as football is concern in Mushin. We will also invite some personalities that will add glamour to the occasion.

Apart from the cup donor, who is also supporting this tourney?
The chairman of  Mushin Local Government Area, Babatunde Adepitan, also supported us to make the tourney a  memorable one.I also want to thank the chairman of Mushin Football Association, Kunle Olusegun, for his contributions. There are many people that also assisted us that I cannot mention their names now.

What makes this competition different from others?
The major difference is  the exposure the younger players get from this championship. The competition has exposed many players who are very young in the sport.

What next after Banire Cup?
We plan to organise Paso Cup after the general elections. The competition will be sponsored by Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi. When we met Alabi recently, he assured us that he will sponsor the second edition of Paso Cup.
