Ohakim Vouch For Jonathan
Governor of Imo state, Ikedi Ohakim, has urged Nigerians not to toy with their fate by playing to the gallery in the forthcoming election but to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential election.

He gave this injunction while speaking at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, venue of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign rally for Imo state.
According to the governor, “Jonathan will take us to the promised land. God Almighty will continue to protect you. You have no opponents. If God be for you who can be against youâ€.
He posited that the coming election is all about consolidation, partnership with the federal government, in order to ensure that government do more good things for the citizenry.
Chief Ohakim assured President Jonathan of total support and massive votes of Imo citizenry and thanked him of heeding to Imo peoples cries by in approving several projects in the state.
Responding, President Jonathan noted that Imo people and indeed people of the Southeast are very enterprising with industrial acumen hence his government would establish industrial complexes in the southeast to absorb the peoples’ efforts.
The President regretted the menace of erosion ravaging the southeast and pledged that special packages would be unfolded to tackle the challenge aggressively.
He thanked the mammoth crowd for their commitment to the PDP and enjoined them to vote for Governor Ohakim in the gubernatorial election because “he is somebody I can trustâ€.
Also speaking, Vice President Namadi Sambo said that Imo has made a wise decision by supporting President Jonathan for he has good intentions for the country.
He added that the PDP has won the leadership because it has reached itself to the people and there is no other party comparable to PDP in extensive reach and rich motives for Nigeria.
Earlier while speaking on behalf of Imo people, a member of PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu opined that the emergence of Jonathan was out of the prayers and believes of Nigerians and that the persons of the president and his vice are God’s designs to lift Nigeria out of the woods.
