Police Recover Arms Inside Bus

The  police at Epe, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria have recovered arms and ammunition from suspected cultists arrested inside a commuter bus going to Epe from Ikorodu. The suspects were arrested at Omar Junction, Epe, Lagos.

The police identified the suspects as Adedoyin and Abaniwonda Kola. They were arrested by a police team on a stop and search mission, led by one Inspector Sunday Ichakome.

Details of how they were arrested revealed that the police team stopped an 18-seater Mazda bus with registration number XA 343 KRD, driven by one Rafiu Quadri and during a search, one locally made pistol with 21 live ammunition, 10 expended catridges and six expended shells were found inside a bag.

They were taken to the police station and after preliminary investigation, transferred to the state CID, Panti, Yaba.

The DPO of Epe Police Division, CSP Bertram Igbe, confirmed the story when contacted.
