Mr Peter Amechi a licensed clearing agent and Managing Director of Destiny ShippingÂ has commended the Nigeria Customs Service for its anti-smuggling activities and revenue drive in the past one year.
Amaechi described seizures and revenue collection all over Customs commands in the country as an indication that the service has changed for the better as a result of the persistent call for improvement by its Comptroller-General, Alhaji Abdullahi Inde Dikko.
Amaechi explained that the Comptroller-General’s admonition to his men to shun corruption is now yielding result as is manifested in the revenue generations and seizures of contrabands all over Customs formations across the country.
The businessman noted that the Customs helmsman, since assumption office, has achieve high level revenue generation profile of the service, adding that the Dikko administration has effectively blocked areas of revenue leakages and achieved the governmentâ€™s 48 hours goodsÂ clearance target.
