Rehabilitate Abuloma Jetty —Stakeholder

An  operator  in the maritime field and Managing Director of Chester Marine in Port Harcourt, Mr. Chester Asagba, has called on government to upgrade the infrastructure of Abuloma Jetty in Rivers State.

Asagba who made this call in a chat with newsmen, stated that  the role of the jetty in  the Nigerian economy  vital and it is, therefore, in dire need of improved infrastructure to further enhance its performance and efficiency.

Asagba observed that the jetty requires dredging and removal of wrecks littering  the waterways.

He said the dredging of the waterways to the Abuloma Jetty in Port Harcourt would enhance deeper draught, which also would allow bigger vessels to berth at the jetty.
