Bode George Out Of Jail
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stalwart and former board chairman of the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, Chief Olabode George, who was convicted by a Lagos High Court for fraud and abuse of office, has said that he has collected certificate from the University of life from Kirikiri Maximum Prison.
George who was this morning released from prison after completing his jail term, said this while speaking with journalists at the Cathedral Church, Marina, Lagos were a thanksgiving service was held in his honour.
The service was attended by ex president Olusegun Obasanjo, the governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Ambassador Musiliu Obanikoro, ex Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, Adetokunbo Kayode, Ebenezer Babatope, Environment Minister John Odey among others.
According to Chief Olabode George, “it is very educative and I will share the experience with you guys later on. But for now, it is time to go and get briefed on what has been happening in Nigeria.
“In there, you arein total black out. You don’t know what is going on in the outside world. So I want to give thanks to all Nigerians. With no malice to anybody, and with love to all. We will make our country the envy of all nations.
“I thank God. It is a new ground in there. I just graduated from the University of life. So, it is very, very, very interesting and I will share that experience with you later. But now, it is thanks giving,” he said.
Also speaking with PM News PDP Lagos West Senatorial candidate, Moshood Adegoke Salvador urged the federal government to grant him state pardon, adding that his incarceration was politically motivated.
Tunde Daramola, PDP state ex officio said that his release will put more life into the activities of the party in the state.
