28 States For David Mark U-20 Tourney
Twenty eight states including FCT, Abuja, have confirmed their readiness to take part in the Senator David Mark U-20 National Open Squash Championship.
The competition is sponsored by the Senate President of Nigeria, Senator David Mark. The five-day tourney will hold from 13 – 17 March at Package B squash courts at the National Stadium, Abuja.
President of Nigeria Squash Rackets Federation, Olufemi Ajagbe, said the winners in each category will represent Nigeria in the forthcoming Junior Africa Open Championship slated for South Africa in April.
“All the 28 states are ready for the National Open Squash Championship. It is going to be keenly contested among the participating states because the winners will represent us in South Africa in April,†he said
Ajagbe confirmed to PM Sports that there will be an exhibition match between the sponsor and other ministers an hour before the tourney officially kick off.
He charged the players to give their best throughout the championship.
