A member of the House of Representatives, representing Kosofe Federal Constituency in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, Hon. Dayo Bush-Alebiosu has commissioned solar-powered street lights in the area.

The lawmaker erected solar-powered street lights on Bush Street in Anthony-Mende area of Ikeja at the request of the people following the security challenges posed by darkness.

The lawmaker, who is also the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN flagbearer in the 2 April House of Representatives election in Kosofe explained that with the provision of solar-powered street lights to the area, nightlife and economic activities will gradually return as shops and other business concerns can now extend their closing hours from 6 p.m. to late in the evening.
