Court Restrains ACN House Of Reps Candidate

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, this morning, restrained an Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) House of Representatives candidate for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Lagos State, Mrs. Susan Olapeju Simisola Olley, from parading herself as the candidate for the April 2011 election.

The current member of the House representing the area, Ganiyu Olatunji Olukolu, had sought the order of the court, following what he described as irregularity during the primary election which he claimed he won but his name was substituted by that of Mrs. Olley.

According to Olukolu, Olley was never at the ACME Road, Ogba, Lagos venue of the election and was surprised that her name appeared on the list of candidates that would contest the various positions for the ACN during the forthcoming elections.

After complaints to party leaders over the issue failed, he had to approach the court which ruled in his favour this morning.
