Ojodu Ready For Premier League

Ojodu Local Council Development Area football team are ready for the Premier League of the Lagos Junior League which will kick off in August this year.

Wale Ajala, Special Adviser on Youth & Sports to Ojodu Council boss, Abiodun Faleke said the players are motivated and ready for the league even if it will start today.

“Ojodu LCDA lived up to expectations in the first phase of the Lagos Junior League. Our team came top on the table. If the Premier League were to begin today, we are battle ready,” he said. Ajala disclosed that the council boss has rewarded the team financially for their good performance in the just concluded Lagos Junior League.

He said Faleke, who is contesting for Ikeja Federal House of Representatives under the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, promised to motivate the team if they can win the Premier League. “Our council boss is happy with the success of the team in the just concluded Lagos Junior League and has promised to do more if they can excel in the Premier League,” he said.

Commenting on the standard of the Lagos Junior League, Ajala said the standard and organisation are quite impressive, but charged the organisers to improve on the area of the officiating. He also advised the organisers to employ  competent referees in the officiating when the Premier League starts.
