ACN Appoints Security Officers

With the April polls fast approaching chieftains of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN have appointed the Vice Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, Hon. Kehinde Asekun and the Olori Eleyo of Lagos, Chief Kabiru Adeshina Oshodi, as the Coordinator and Chief Security Officer, respectively, of the LCDA in the elections.

P.M.NEWS gathered that they were appointed to coordinate security in the area as a result of their loyalty to the party.

Three party faithful from the 10 wards in the LCDA were also appointed to assist the security personnel.

Twenty-five dedicated members were also appointed  from the wards to coordinate security during rallies and campaigns and at the polling booths.

During the  inauguration which held at the party secretariat on 27, Adams Street, Lagos Island, Hon. Asekun lauded the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the way and manner he addressed various protests arising from the primaries in all  the local governments in the state.

”Tinubu is a mentor to all politicians and we commend his efforts to see that peace reign in the party,” Asekun said.

He promised to work with  party members to ensure hitch free elections on the Island.

In an interview with P.M.NEWS, Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council chapter of the ACN, Alhaji Basiru Salawe, described both the coordinator and the chief security officer as bold men capable of handling the assignment given to them. ” With their appointment,  AC N will have smooth rallies and campaigns in Lagos Island East LCDA,” he assured.
