National Ram Charging Tourney: Energy Retains Title

Defending champion, Energy, retained the title won last year after defeating Emperor of Surulere 15-14 in the Category A final of the Ram Sports Promoters  National Championship.

The final ceremony which took place on Sunday at the Oshodi Sports Centre attracted thousands of ram lovers.

Energy  who came all the way from Surulere did not disappoint its teeming fans when it gave its opponent, Emperor Ram, a technical knockout.

With this victory, the organisers presented Frajend Motor Cycle to the owner of Energy , Ayodele Adekoya, who was happy his ram retained defended the title well.

“Energy will rule Lagos State for many years to come. I  give the ram only food,  nothing more. I am happy that my ram won motor cycle for me,” said Adekoya, who refused to sell the goat.

President of the Ram Sports Promoters of Nigeria; Adumadeyin Kayode, expressed gratitude to God for the success of the tournament. He said this year’s edition attracted a  large turn out and promised to organise another glamorous one in the next edition.

In other results, Omolomo of Ikorodu defeated Boss of Mushin 19-18 in category H, Rude Boy of Ijede managed to beat Odua of Sagamu 3-2 in category G, Kokoro Mortuary of Sagamu defeated Sara of Itire 40-39 in category F and  Eje Afin of Ikorodu lost 3-4 to Spartacus of Oshodi in category E.
