Police Arrest 5 Suspected Robbers

The police in Festac Division, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, have arrested five suspects in their hideout while planning a  robbery operation.

The suspects, Lawrence Adebayo, Abiodun Teslim, Temitope Oduntola, Ikechukwu Stephen and Adebowale Oduntola, were said to be planning a robbery operation in their hideout at Festac town when information got to the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Festac Police Station who immediately mobilised his anti- robbery policemen to the scene.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the suspects were rounded up by the police and taken to the station where they all made useful statements.

Items recovered from them  include one locally made double barrel gun.

The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.

The Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, warned robbers in the state to relocate or face the wrath of the law.

According to the police image maker, the police are ever ready to deal with any robber who refuses to either quit the profession or relocate outside the state.
