Aalesunds Football Club of Norway forward and a member of the Dream Team IV at the Beijing Olympic soccer event, Solomon Okoronkwo, spoke on a radio interview monitored by ADEBOBOLA ALAWODE, that despite the fact the Super Eagles are second in their group in the qualifiers for Africa Cup of Nations, Coach, Samson Siasia, who was his coach in the U-20 and U-23 national teams, has what it takes to qualify Nigeria to the biannual football competition holding in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon next year.

How is life in Norway?

Everything is going on smoothly. For me, there is no problem at.

Have you settled down completely in Norway?

There is nothing much to say about that because as a footballer, wherever you find yourself you must adapt and that is what I’m doing now.

You have played in Germany, Russia and now in Norway, how will you rate the leagues?

The three leagues are completely different. Playing in the German Bundesliga was a different experience. In Russia, the weather is another factor usually affect foreign players, while in Norway the game is faster.

Back to the home front, are you aware that Coach Samson Siasia is now in charge of the Super Eagles?

Yes. I’m aware of that. I read about it sometime ago and I wish him all the best.

Do you think he can lead the Eagles to the Equatorial Guinea/Gabon 2012 African Cup of Nations?

I played under him and he is a very thoroughly breed coach. He is a no nonsense coach. His discipline and wealth of experience as a coach would go a long way in helping the team to qualify for the Nations Cup, even if we are still placed second on the table.

How will you react to the botched Obama Cup?

There is nothing much to say about it except that the players who went to the US would be sad because such tournament would have helped them to get necessary exposure, or from there they can get deals in America.
