Igbo residing in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria have slated 17 March for a mega rally to drum support for the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola.
The rally which they described as the mother of all rallies will feature prominent Ndigbo, including market leaders in the state.
The idea for the mega rally came after a stakeholders meeting held by prominent Igbo leaders in the state.
Those in attendance at the meeting were Eze Hycient Ohazuruike, Eze Igbo of Lagos State; Chief Ebere Ubani, President, Igbo Speaking Community; Chief Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu, leader of Ndigbo in Lagos State and others.
The meeting was called at the instance of the Lagos State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Pastor Akabueze.
To ensure the success of the rally, a 15-man committee headed by Christian Nwachukwu was set up.
