The Ojora of Ijora land, Lagos Southwest Nigeria, Oba Abdulfatai Aromire Oyegbemi II has called on landlords on Ijoraland to obey the Supreme Court judgement of 2009, which gave the Ojora family title on the land.

He made this call on Thursday while reacting to a gang-up by some landlords in the area who are mobilising other landlords to disrespect the Supreme Court judgement which vested the land in the family.

Oba Aromire pointed out that it would do the disgruntled landlords no good to disobey court judgement as such action could bring on them the axe of the law.

According to him, “if the Ojora family had been magnanimous with the landlords for the past two years, they owe the family every right to perfect their title on the land and also maintain peace instead of mobilising to cause chaos in Ijora and its environs.”

Oba Aromire warned mischief makers in his domain to desist from such act or face the wrath of the law.

He reiterated his commitment to the rule of law, adding that Ijora residents should go about their lawful duties without fear of molestation from any quarters.

Ojora warned residents in the area not to join any group or anybody planning to cause breach of peace in the area.
