The Plateau State Government is eagerly eyeing an equity stake in the concession agreement between the Federal Government and Duncan Maritime Service Limited as a means of fast-tracking the Jos Inland Container Deport (ICD).
Speaking at the Sensitisation Seminar on the Delay in the Commencement of the ICD Projects in the Country, Governor Jonah David Jang said that Plateau State has done all that is required of a host state.
The government and the people of Plateau State, according to him, are eager to see the project become functional.
Jang, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Plateau State Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Boris Dashe, noted that the government is willing to enter into discussions with the concessionaire to ensure the speedy completion and operation of the Jos ICD.
