Mimiko’s Labour Party Swells

The former Commissioner for Special Duties  in Ondo State, Chief Boye Adegbemisoye  at the weekend dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)  to embrace  the ruling Labour Party (LP) in the state. Adegbemisoye who served in the government led by Olusegun Agagu decamped with his supporters.

Adegbemisoye, a former chairman of the Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo Local Government Council was  the fourth commissioner in the past regime to jump ship. He said the Mimiko administration  has done more for the people in his locality than the Agagu government, citing roads and medical centre built by Mimiko.

While receiving Adegbemisoye, the Southern Senatorial Chairman of the party, Senator Omololu Meroyi, praised him for his courage.

He assured him and his followers of equal opportunities in Labour Party, charging him to sustain the unity and peace within the party.

In his remarks, the State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, who described the local government as the stronghold of Labour Party, called on the indigenes of the area to utilize the opportunity to advance the development of the area.
