Jagunmolu of Bariga, Gbolahan Akanbi Timson, has assured youths in the Southwest of his support.
Timson gave this assurance in his palace in Bariga, Lagos when the Southwest members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, paid him a courtesy visit.
“I thank you for the regard and respect you have accorded me. This shows that you are all responsible young men and ladies who will be good leaders in future. I want to assure you of my support all the time.
”Let me get your programme for the year and see where we can come in to assist you. I want you to always remember that you are the future leaders. You need to work harder to sensitise your peers who are still involved in illicit drugs, hooliganism, thuggery and other acts. This is your time and you must use it well,†Timson told the youths.
Responding to the remarks of the Bariga high chief, Vice President, Southwest NYCN, Hon. Ismail Olanrewaju Lanleyin thanked him for his fatherly advice and promised to always seek his input before embarking on any project.
“We are highly honoured today, especially because I am from Bariga and my Kabiyesi is the first point of call for the council to get royal blessing before visiting other states in the region. We promise to abide by your advice and will continuously visit the palace for advice in all our deeds,†he stated.
High point of the visit which was attended by all chiefs and youths in Bariga was the conferment of the Patron of the Council in the Southwest on Timson.
