The people of Ilukogun Igbesa in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State have appealed to the state government to provide basic social amenities to the area as it is totally cut from development.

Speaking on behalf of the community, the traditional ruler, Chief Jimoh Adele Fagbohun, said the place has been neglected by successive governments in the state.

He stated further that most of the amenities being enjoyed there now were through communal effort, lamenting that the community lacks good roads, primary health facility, water drains, market, schools, water and transformer for generation of electricity, among others.

“We have sent several representations to both the state and local governments but all to no avail,” he said, noting that since government generates substantive amount of resources from his community through tax, it should reciprocate by giving it a face lift.

He also wants the state government to commence work on the land already donated by the community for the building of schools in order not to deprive their children of education.
