Group Organises Prayer For Lagos

Egbe Agbekoya, a Yoruba socio-political group, recently held a prayer session for all South West states, Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola and the nation for peace especially that the general election is around the corner.

Speaking on the programme, Aare Agbekoya, Chief Okikiola Aremu, said prayer is the master key to success and it is very necessary to seek another victory for Fashola in the coming election, noting that what is good equally needs prayer for it to be better.

Lamenting on the non recognition of African traditional religion in the state, a prominent member of the group, Prince Adeoye Ogundunmade, the Oluomo Agbekoya of Yorubaland, called on Governor Fashola to change the trend by recognising traditional religion practitioners as the case with Muslims and Christians and allow them to participate actively in the running of government.

The occasion held in Lagos, was witnessed by dignitaries from all walks of life including obas, chiefs and Abore of the group, Imam Adebanke, among others.
