A group, New Vision for Igbo President 2015, has called for the support of all Nigerians in making the dream a reality.

Speaking with Political Platform recently, leader of the group, Prince Michael Obijiaku, said all other tribes in the country have had a piece of the action, adding that 2015 must be the turn of the Igbo.

He said, “every tribe has had a piece of the action. They have produced the president of this country in one way or the other. It is only Nnamdi Azikiwe who was the ceremonial president and Aguiyi Ironsi who ruled for just six months that the East has been able to produce.

“Therefore, we believe that it should be the turn of the Igbo come 2015.  Believe it or not, an Igbo man will emerge the president of this country in 2015 and nothing is going to change that.

“During the presidential campaign, Ibrahim Babangida said he would hand over to an Igbo man in 2015 and Atiku Abubakar said same. There is no zone in the North that have not tasted power at least twice and am sure they would not vie for the presidency in 2015,” he said.

He said that the group purposely told all Igbo politicians not to contest for the presidency in 2011. They should wait for 2015 so that President Goodluck Jonathan who represents the South-South would be able to complete his tenure.
