David Kenneth, an SSS 3 male athlete had the most impressive result in the multi-sports competition, winning four individual and two team events. Kenneth, who had been a notable member of his schoolâ€
Reflecting on his feat he said: “I felt so great. It seems as if I was on top of the world because the Inter House Sports was so interesting and there were lots of fun.â€Â He said that his most cherished prize of the competition was the 800m gold.
“The one I cherished most is the medal I won in the 800m. This is because I was running with athletes stronger that me from other houses. In the course of the race, what my mind was telling me was that I could do it,†he said.
But Kenneth was not the only one that stood tall above many other talented athletes. The duo of Oluwaseun Aderounmu and Doris Amarachi Chimezie, left their mark in the tourney as they were jointly awarded the best female athletes of the tourney. The ladies won six gold medals and a silver medal.

Speaking on her future aspirations, Aderounmu, who will be writing her Senior School Certificate exams this session said: “I want to be among the best national athletes in Nigeria someday.â€
Chimezie on her part expressed surprise and delight at her feat saying, “I feel so happy and surprised because in this school we have many good athletes. Iâ€
Red House emerged the overall winner of the competition with 17 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze medals. Blue House was second with 11 gold, 12 silver and 5 bronze medal, while Yellow House took third position with 6 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze medals.
