Ajose Seeks Support To Defeat Chebah

Nigerian pugilist, Segun Ajose, has called on the Minister of Sports, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, to support his training programmes to win the final eliminator scheduled for May in Algeria, Africa.

Ajose, who has been training in Nigeria and America, said he is indebted to making Nigeria proud, and that the Nigerian Army has been of tremendous assistance towards his quest to beat Ali Chebah on his home soil in Algeria.

He said plans are in top gear to meet with the Sports Minister as soon as possible and he needs the Federal Government’s support to enable him pay his sparring partners and hotel bills among others, stressing that he is in a good competition mood to win the contest. He disclosed that he plans to attract some corporate bodies to support him and add value to his boxing career.

Ajose described Chebah as a great boxer, who has won 34 fights out of 34 and lost only one in a controversial manner in Mexico. The Nigerian boxer said he  is an  experienced world class boxer with speed and credible training patterns.

To him, these stand him out against Chebah. He added that he would not be intimidated and would beat the Algerian pugilist at home.  Ajose, has won all his 29 bouts and he successfully defended his English title which he later relinquished.
