The ACN presidential candidate, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and his running mate, Mr. Fola Adeola, are being expected on March 21 in Ado-Ekiti for their campaign rally.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other ACN chieftains being expected at the rally are its National Chairman, Chief Adebisi Akande, and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

A statement signed by Mr. Odunayo Ogunmola, Special Assistant (Media) to the Ekiti Governor, Mr. Kayode Fayemi, on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti said three other state governors are also expected to be at the rally.

Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo and Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola of Osun are expected to address the rally,” it said.

The statement said Gov. Fayemi had approved the setting up of a committee that would plan and make arrangements for the success of the CAN presidential campaign in the state.

“The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Ganiyu Owolabi, is the chairman of the committee, while other members include the ACN Women Leader in the state, Mrs. Ronke Okusanya.

“Others include Chairman of Ikole Local Government, Chief Biodun Akin-Fasae, and former Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Bayo Aina, among others,” it said.

The statement added that Ribadu is expected to unfold his agenda to the people of the state at the rally.

NAN reports that there will be no governorship election in the state in April, while elections are to be conducted for the state’s seats in the Senate and House of Representatives.

There will also be elections into the state House of Assembly.
