An Abuja Magistrate’s Court has sentenced Ibrahim Mohammed of no fixed address to two weeks imprisonment for theft or pay N500 fine.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Simon Ibrahim, told the court that on March 12, Insp. Saleh Yarima, who was on patrol at Utako District, arrested Mohammed and brought him to Utako Police Station.
He said the accused was found in possession of some plumbing materials suspected to be stolen at Jabi Motor Park.
Ibrahim said during police investigation, the accused admitted stealing the property.
The accused said that he was a businessman at Jabi Park and had been seeing the plumbing materials for more than three years and no one claimed it.
Magistrate Fatima Mallo sentenced the suspect to two weeks imprisonment or a fine of N500.
