Shomolu based socio-political organisation, Ashafa Shomolu Support Group (ASSG) in Shomolu area of Lagos state, South-West, Nigeria, has thrown its weight behind the candidacy of Mr. Gbenga Ashafa, the Action Congress of Nigeria’s (ACN) Lagos East Senatorial candidate and other candidates seeking elective posts under the banner of the party in the April general election.
The group made this known to P.M.News when it gave out crash helmets to some commercial motorcyclists in the area as part of its support package for Ashafa and other ACN candidates.
Mr. Lanre Ijelu, the group’s coordinator said “we are doing this not only for our leader but for all candidates vying for one position or the other under Action Congress of Nigeria in Lagos state. We are assuring the electorates in Shomolu and Lagos East Senatorial District, that because of his wide experience, he is capable of representing us well and the same things goes to other candidates.
Ashafa is a man of honest character and a man with large heart, who will never disappoint his people. And what we want is one voice one vote, this we believe that will give him victory over other partys’ candidates.â€
